Rule What Rule?

It’s past labor day, school has officially started, and the weather has started to cool down. Okay, so that’s only partially true… The weather is cooler in the morning and at night, but it is still blazing hot during the day! Southern California doesn’t really get the fall memo until like October. It’s annoying. I love all the seasons and thoroughly believe it’s time to start pulling out my dark colors and cardigans. Fall and cooler weather just make me so happy! It’s the start of all the holidays, and all the fun activities that come with that! I’ve already started brainstorming Christmas gifts, and I am full fledged ready to carve a pumpkin. Who’s with me?!

I am definitely not ready to put away my white jeans though! I was so nervous to buy them and then even more to start wearing them out and about. I think they sat in my drawer for a few week before I was brave enough to put them on. However, now I am a fan! I’ve worn them out a few times now and I love them. They match with everything and I can wear them to work unlike normal denim. I am more aware of how much I touch my pants when I have white jeans on, but it’s not so bad! I am a total clutz though and am really scared to spill on them. I know it’s going to happen one day. Every time I wear them I’ve thrown a pair of blue jeans in my car just in case I something spills and it’s a total mess. Who knows if I’ll ever get so comfortable in them that I don’t bring another a pair of pants.

Now onto the necklace! This statement necklace is from Happiness Boutique. They are a cute little online jewelry boutique with a really classic style. They have all sorts of things from necklaces to bracelets and earrings. If you’re looking for some good statement earrings they have a lot of options. AND they are offering Moo’s Musing readers 10% off any purchase over $25 with code: moosmusing. The code is valid Monday, September 11th until October 11th so don’t miss out!

A Close Shave with Harry’s

September 1, 2017

IMG_6380 IMG_6383 IMG_6377Y’all, I am a changed women! My shaving routine will seriously never be the same again. I have recently been trying out Harry’s razors and I am in love! Seriously I cannot say enough good things about this razor.

When Harry’s first e-mailed me asking about my shaving routine I was honestly a little skeptical. I’ve been using Intuition razors for quite awhile now and I love them. They moisturize as I go and they handle coarse underarm hair no problem. The shave isn’t crazy close, but what razor really gets that close of a shave anyway? (or so I thought!) Harry’s at first was just asking about my shaving experience and they never asked for a blog post. So I thought why not try one, if I hate it I haven’t agreed to anything yet.

Then the box arrived at my door…I was behind on blogging so it sat in my room for a bit. The next week we helped a couple move apartments and they actually used Harry’s razors! I mentioned how I would be trying one out soon and the girl raved about them saying how she actually used it and not her husband. This peaked my interest, so I came home and pulled our the razor. My sisters boyfriend actually saw the box in the bathroom that day and mentioned he had used them and loved them too.

The packaging alone is actually really nice. The design is very modern and clean and everything is really cohesive. From the box it arrives in, to the shaving cream, and the razor everything is branded super well! I chose to receive the olive green Truman set since I felt like it was gender neutral.

Now let’s get to the actual shaving experience…Oh boy! This razor is fantastic. The shave is seriously so close I could skip a day between shaving if I wanted. I tend to get cold throughout my day so I usually get stubble really quick and shave everyday, but I could totally skip a day while using Harry’s. The razor actually moves along the curves of a leg great as well! Almost every time I get a new razor or replace a razor head I cut myself that first use. I didn’t with Harry’s! It was a close shave, and no cuts.

I did use the shaving cream it came with and that was pretty nice too. I shave in the shower and I had a problem with the shaving gel sliding off before it became cream and would stick. I think this is just because it’s created for a face without water running on it, but if you’re fast enough to rub it all over this isn’t an issue. Also the shaving cream does smell like a man. Since Harry’s was created with men in mind that is their thing. Talking to the representative though about this and she told me they are working on creating a lighter or non scented type of cream. Harry’s is based as a men’s razor company, but they aren’t just for men at all! The razor blades and the way they talk about the company is simply to change the shaving experience, and man have they!

Something that I really appreciate about Harry’s is that you can do a subscription service where they deliver new heads to your door. For someone who is frequently on the go or forgets to buy new razors this is super beneficial. However, I’ve also seen Harry’s razor sold in Target! To me that is awesome because I like to use my razor heads for a long time. I really wear them down. By not only selling online I can buy new ones at my own timing and convince.

I started this shaving experience really hesitantly and not planning to fall in love at all. I seriously don’t think I’ll go back to a different razor ever again!

Thank you Harry’s for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Button-Up or Button-Down?

August 22, 2017

j crew striped button upspring white jeans outfit white jeans and blue button up striped button up summer outfit inspo summer outfit Moo's Musing white jeansWhy do some stores call it a button-up and others call it a button-down? Technically I button from the top down so do I need to call it a button-down? These are the random things that cross my mind…but I am actually really curious! Which do you call it?

My boyfriend loves this shirt. I wore it to work one time and he saw it in snapchat, and just loved it! The day we shot these photos was the first time I wore it around him, and he was so stoked! Every time I wear a button-up he gives me so many compliments. I’m not sure what it is about striped button-ups that he loves so much, but I’ll just keep wearing them! Do your significant others have that one outfit or piece of clothing they just seem to prefer over others?

This button-up is actually a few years old, and I believe I scored it at one of those Forever 21 50% off clearance deals they always do. I tried to find some other less expensive options to link for y’all. However, J Crew just released their fall new arrivals and they have this button-up that is super similar to this! There’s so many good new arrivals! I’m so ready to start fall shopping. I’ve already started pulling out the darker color nail polishes. The last week or so the mornings have been so cold and I can just feel fall coming. Yet, typical So Cal is suppose to heat back up to the 100’s this weekend. So no sweaters for me yet.

Sunglasses from Glassesshop.com + A Giveaway

August 18, 2017

sunglasses glassesshop.com prescription sunglasses prescription sunglassesI’m the type of person who really only keeps one pair of sunglasses at a time. The more I think about this though the more of an issue it is! I seriously should have at least two pairs. Just this last week my go to pair broke and I spent multiple days with nothing. It was awful! Driving was hard, and wearing broken sunglasses just is not a good look. Trust me! I don’t wear glasses so having multiple pairs of some form of eye wear around just never happened. However, I am starting to think multiple pairs of sunglasses is a thing that needs to happen.

For those of you who do wear glasses have you ever ordered your eyeglasses online? I practically order everything online now a days (thank you amazon), and getting sunglasses online was actually easier than expected! I know my face shape, and what type of frames look best on my face. After that scrolling through and picking ones I liked was pretty simple. GlassesShop.com had a really great selection of choices. I received the Annabelle Round in Tortoise. The great thing for those who do need eyeglasses is you can just pick your frames, send them your prescription, and boom you have new glasses! They’ll even create prescription sunglasses too!

GlassesShop.com is offering Moo’s Musing readers 50% off with code: GSHOT50. It’s good for all eyeglasses and sunglasses with free lenses only throughout the website, with the exception of sales frames.

But wait! Not only can you buy your own frames, but I’m giving you the option to win this Annabelle pair too! Follow the instructions below for entry opportunities.

Life Changes and Time Management

Y’all working full time is no joke! I’m on my third week now and man is it a major adjustment. There seems to be a lot less hours in the day when you spend 9 of them at work. I am slowly learning how to balance everything, but it definitely is a change. I give so much credit to bloggers who work full time and keep up a blog, and a social life. It’s not an easy task!

Learning to say no to things is also a big adjustment. I’ve worked part time since I was 15. I worked while also going to school, and usually had multiple other side projects and little jobs that I did. However, that just isn’t going to work anymore! There’s just not enough time to balance it all. So bare with me as I get the hang of things. I’ve found shooting blog content on the weekends and scheduling posts ahead of time is a definite help! I’ve also learned to work in my random one hour breaks between work and seeing the boyfriend or before bed.

Matt and I got to shoot this outfit last weekend after church. While I do think this top is cute, it is a little big. Being so petite seriously has it’s challenges y’all! I can’t just order something off line and know it’s gonna fit, and one size fits all pieces is just a joke! I’ve found ways like tucking shirts in or knotting them up helps. However, this top my be being passed a long to a friend.

VIIcode T2 Oxygen Eye Cream Review

August 9, 2017

VII code T2 en Eye Cream

VII code T2

Recently I’ve started looking into eye creams. I’ve been the girl who watches youtube videos and reads the beauty articles, and I am well aware that your 20’s is the time to jump on the anti aging train. So here I am into my 20’s trying to figure all this stuff out! There is literally so many options out there! Your under eye area is super important and where most people really show wrinkles here first.

Enter VIIcode. I’ve seen countless bloggers use their under eye masks so when they reached out to me about trying their under eye cream I was totally willing. Their website says that the cream “uses an ‘exclusive ‘T2’stone mortar extraction process’, which facilitates the healing and regeneration of damaged skin cells near the eyes by protecting this delicate area of the face and by fading away the first visible signs of aging.” Pretty much it speeds up the process of regeneration of the skin by your eyes.

Something I really appreciated about the VIIcode T2 Oxygen Eye Cream was that the ingredients are all natural. Elderberries, which makes your skin glow and appear more youthful, Jojoba Oil, which lessens the appearance of wrinkles while keeping your skin hydrate, and Evening Primrose, that boosts blood circulation. All of these things are pluses to me! The one thing that was hard for me is that the cream is very fragrant. It smells amazing, but when I am headed to bed I have a harder time sleeping when the things on my face have a potent smell. That’s just me though so if you don’t care this works great! The cream itself works really well. Just after one night of use I could feel a more tightness and thought that I looked more awake the next day. I could also tell that it’s very hydrating. Some mornings my skin just feels blah and tired, but while using the VIIcode T2 Oxygen Eye Cream I almost always woke up with more of a bounce to it (your water intake helps with this too!). Overall I was pretty impressed with how quickly I felt and saw a difference.

The price is a little steep but a little goes a long way! So when you see how little you use every night the cream will last you months if not even a full year! That makes a one time purchase totally worth it!

Do you use an eye cream currently? If so, what do you use?

Thank you VIIcode for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
